Abstract

The present research aimed to identify the role of high school in spreading a culture of respect in the light of contemporary changes and to find a proposed conception to enhance it. To achieve this goal, the researchers used the analytical descriptive approach that is appropriate to the nature of the current study, which requires a survey of studies, research, reports and references, and then analyze and extrapolate the previous literature related to the subject of research. The research has reached a number of results, the most important of which is that the educational institutions, especially the school, play an important role in promoting the dissemination of a culture of respect among young people. This role is illustrated by: (curriculum - teacher - school policy - methods and methods of teaching). Many international organizations have sought to promote the dissemination of a culture of respect through the adoption of several global programs and initiatives that have encouraged this, such as the launch of the Together initiative aimed at promoting tolerance, respect and dignity worldwide. Secondary schools can benefit from a high level of social networking sites through the creation of collaborative networks to foster understanding, mutual respect and dialogue. Curriculum plays a major role in promoting and instilling a spirit of respect through curriculum vocabulary. In light of these results, the researchers presented a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: the establishment and development of mentoring programs that cope with the current age variables to highlight the importance and value of respect between the communities stemming from the nature of the student and the nature of society and the nature of knowledge and the nature of values. Apply the principle of community partnership through partnership between the school and the family by continuing to communicate with the field visits or through electronic platforms that can be connected between the school and the family of the student in order to enhance the value of teaching a culture of respect.
