Abstract

Since ancient times, Mecca and the surrounding region have been a center of Islamic movement and trade, and Islamic culture has had a significant impact on the region. In the Middle Ages, Mecca attracted pilgrims and visitors from all over the Muslim world. Consequently, the city became acquainted with multiple Muslim cultures.
Since the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932 AD, Islamic culture and religious values have been a means of uniting people and strengthening national identity in the Kingdom. Islamic Sharia was implemented as an official legal system in the Kingdom. Which reflects the influence of Islamic culture in Saudi society.
In recent years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed changes in infrastructure, social and economic development, and the establishment of hotels, commercial complexes, shopping centers, and other modern facilities. However, Islamic values and cultural traditions still constitute a large part of daily life in the Kingdom and are greatly influential in the face of change.
It can be said that Islamic culture plays an important role in confronting the changes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as it helps preserve national identity, unite people, and promote human values, moral principles, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence between different communities.
