Abstract

This study aimed to determine the attitudes of mothers of non-disabled children towards integrating their children with their peers with disabilities in the kindergarten stage in Khulais governorate, the study relied on its descriptive analytical approach, and the mothers ’attitudes scale was relied upon, and the validity, consistency and internal consistency of the scale were calculated.

The sample consisted of (72) mothers of non-disabled mothers enrolled in the kindergarten schools of the Ministry of Education in Khulais Governorate; the results indicated that there are high positive trends among mothers towards integrating their children without disabilities with their peers with disabilities in the kindergarten stage. There are also no statistically significant differences at (α≤0.05) in the level of mothers ’attitudes towards integrating their children without disabilities with their peers with disabilities in the kindergarten stage, due to the variable of age or level of education.

Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommends:

- It is important to conduct many studies that seek to measure the attitudes of individuals surrounding people with disabilities regarding the process of integrating them with their peers.

- It is important that many educational programs be held by the educational media on the importance of the process of integrating this category.

- The importance of researchers conducting qualitative studies that measure mothers' attitudes to the idea of integrating their children with their peers with disabilities in kindergartens based on interviews to gain more in-depth information.
