Abstract

This study aimed to detect the effect of the virtual panorama and 3D tours in developing the achievement of Science Curriculum Concepts for Students at the Intermediate Stage. The semi-experimental approach was used through a tool represented in a program based on virtual panorama and 3D tours, with examination to measure the objectives achieved, it is applied on selected sample of (60) students from two schools , Jahraa Governorate , Kuwait. The sample was divided into two experimental groups, according to the experimental design of the research. Two patterns of the virtual tours were experiments:

The first experimental group: panorama Virtual tours.

The second experimental group: 3D Virtual tours.

Outcomes of the research indicated the existence of statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average marks for students of both groups in the post-test. Where the first (panoramic) averaged (17.70) while the second experiment (3D) on average (20.50) and the difference for the second experimental group. 3D virtual tours are best for students in developing the concepts of the science curriculum. In light of the results, a number of recommendations were presented, most notably is the use of virtual tours in their three-dimensional and panoramic modes in the teaching of science curriculums and other basic education curriculums, as well as the importance of workshops for teachers.

Based on this the research concluded that the 3D virtual tours are better for the students in developing the achievement of Science Curriculum Concepts.
