Abstract

My topic is about integrating social media with math teaching in high school. I chose this topic because of the spread of using social media among teenagers who find it an interesting method. In this research I have evaluated the risks and benefits of using social media in education with the concentration on the best practices of using it in math teaching. I also searched for the barriers and obstacles of using social media in teaching math, and tried to find answers and solutions.

I also highlighted the social media tool that will be used as an example of technology application into ninth grade math instruction, which is Edmodo application, the easy way to help students collaborate, organize and have access to the past and current assignments, grades, and school messages.
