Level of awareness of the teachers of the branch of the home economy of the teaching roles in the light of the curricula developed according to the knowledge economy in the capital city of Amman

Abstract

The objective of the study was to identify the level of awareness of the teachers of the branch of the home economy for the teaching roles in the light of the developed curricula according to the knowledge economy in the capital Amman Governorate. The study used the descriptive method. The questionnaire was constructed with 20 paragraphs divided into four fields. The sample of the study consisted of (140) teachers who study in the branch of household economy distributed to the vocational secondary schools in the academic year 2016/2017. The results of the study showed that the level of awareness of the teachers of the branch of the home economy for the teaching roles in light of the developed curricula according to the knowledge economy, (3.75) in the intermediate level, and at the field level; the first rank was in the field of the student environment at an average of 3.86, the second was the field of teaching and learning with an average of 3.75, both with high grade, third with the school and the community at an average of 3.45, The field of leadership and management came at an average The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the variable years of service for the field of leadership and management and for those with short experience. In the light of the results, a number of recommendations were made to increase the awareness of the teachers of the household economics branch of teaching roles in the light of the developed curricula according to the knowledge economy in the capital Amman and the Kingdom in general.
