The extent of practicing secondary school teachers in Hawat Bani Tamim and Al-Harraq governorates in Saudi Arabia for critical thinking skills

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out how the biology teachers practiced critical thinking skills in the field of interpretation, evaluation of arguments, reasoning, and conclusion in classroom classroom performance. The research used the descriptive descriptive approach, where the observation card was applied to enrich critical thinking skills in the classroom. Biology Teachers. The sample consisted of (20) teachers who studied secondary biology in the governorates of Houta Bani Tamim and Al-Harq. The results of the study revealed that the biology teachers practiced the critical thinking skills in the field of interpretation by (1.63%), followed by the deduction by (1.45%), the skill of evaluating the arguments by 1.38%. The average of all the paragraphs of the results of the observation of the researcher and the cooperative observer (1.46%), and this percentage is less than the level of educational acceptable, which was identified by the research rate (80%), and in light of the results recommended the need to train teachers of biology before service, and during the use of Critical thinking skills, and interest in preparing teachers' guides and clarifying modern teaching strategies.
