Abstract

The objective of the research was to identify the effectiveness of disciplinary sanctions in evaluating teachers' shortcomings in general education from the point of view of the principals and educational supervisors in Riyadh city. To achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive descriptive method by applying a questionnaire to a sample of (166) supervisors, ) Director of School. The research found the following results: The first was the proposals that increase the effectiveness of the educational disciplinary sanctions where the general average was 4.15 out of 5. The second was the shortcomings in the disciplinary sanctions applied to the teachers where the average was 4.10. In the third place was the degree of knowledge of the rights and duties that should be met with the general average (3.99) and the fourth rank was the degree of knowledge of the types of disciplinary sanctions applied against them where the general average (3.68) was ranked fifth educational role applied disciplinary sanctions On the parameters (3.43) The researcher recommended the need to spread awareness and culture about the rights and obligations of the teacher, discipline and accountability, and reconsider the disciplinary sanctions unclear to the teachers and add educational sanctions appropriate to the reality of the teacher and help to assess the shortcomings more than punish.
