The Role of Knowledge Management in Strengthening Entrepreneurial Strategies: An Empirical Study on Employees at the Ministry of Health Branch in the Asir Region

Abstract
The study aimed to examine the role of knowledge management in enhancing entrepreneurship strategies among employees at the Ministry of Health branch in the Asir region, and to explore whether this role varies according to employees’ personal and job characteristics including gender, educational qualification, years of experience, and job title. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method, and the study population consisted of administrative employees numbering (300), from whom a simple random sample of (170) employees was selected. A questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection, and the data were analyzed using SPSS. The results showed a statistically significant positive effect for the dimensions of knowledge management including knowledge discovery, knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application in strengthening entrepreneurship strategies among employees. The findings also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in participants’ responses regarding knowledge management and entrepreneurship strategies based on gender, while significant differences were found for knowledge management based on educational qualification, years of experience, and job title. Additionally, the results revealed statistically significant differences in entrepreneurship strategies according to years of experience and job title, whereas no differences were found based on educational qualification. The study recommended reinforcing intellectual and knowledge-based resources within health institutions by promoting a culture that supports innovation and encourages the effective exchange of knowledge.
